Menko Kesra: Rumah Ibadah Sudah Rusak Sebelum Ditempati

[POSO] Menko Kesra Aburizal Bakrie menyoroti pembangunan sejumlah rumah ibadah yang dibiayai World Food Programme (WFP) di Poso. Rumah-rumah ibadah itu belum digunakan, tapi atapnya sudah bocor dan plafonnya robek-robek akibat terkena hujan.
"Ini menunjukkan hasil pekerjaan sangat tidak profesional. Tidak ada alasan, kontraktornya harus segera memperbaiki kembali kerusakan itu," tegas Aburizal, seusai mengunjungi rumah-rumah ibadah itu di kawasan Poso Pesisir dan Poso Kota, Selasa (16/4).
Ia didampingi Gubernur Sulawesi Tengah (Sulteng) HB Paliudju ke Palu dan Poso untuk mempersiapkan kunjungan Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono pada 30 April (ke Palu) dan 1 Mei (ke Poso).
Rumah-rumah ibadah, baik masjid dan gereja yang dibangun dengan dana WFP di Poso, termasuk proyek-proyek yang akan diresmikan Presiden Yudhoyono pada 1 Mei di Poso.
Menurut data, 10 rumah ibadah di Poso terdiri dari 5 masjid dan 5 gereja dan sebuah Rumah Sakit Cinta Kasih di Tentena, dibangun dengan dana dari WFP tahun 2006 senilai Rp 10 miliar.
Aburizal sempat meninjau beberapa dari rumah ibadah itu antara lain sebuah masjid (belum ada nama) di Desa Tokorondo dan Tiwaa (Poso Pesisir), Masjid An-Nur di Kelurahan Bone Sompe, Gereja Katolik Santa Theresia di Kelurahan Maengko, Gereja Kristen Sulawesi Tengah (GKST) Jemaat Pniel di Kelurahan Lombogia (Poso Kota).
Peletakan batu pertama pembangunan rumah-rumah ibadah yang dibangun dana WFP tersebut, dilakukan Menko Kesra pada Mei 2006 di Poso. Namun, ia mengaku sangat kecewa karena menyaksikan atap-atapnya sudah bocor dan plafonnya pada robek akibat terkena hujan, terutama kerusakan yang dilihatnya langsung di Masjid An-Nur dan Tiwaa serta Gereja Katolik Santa Theresia, selain bangunannya tak rapi juga atapnya bocor dan plafonnya pada robek.
"Saya minta semua kerusakan ini diperbaiki sebelum diresmikan bapak Presiden," tegasnya saat berdialog dengan tokoh-tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama dan pemuda se-Kabupaten Poso di aula rumah jabatan Bupati Poso Selasa siang.
Ia menilai kontraktor yang ditunjuk mengerjakan proyek-proyek vital itu kurang memiliki tanggung jawab sehingga pekerjaannya tidak memenuhi harapan semua orang.
Ketua Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPRD) Poso, S Pelima yang ditanya soal pengawasan atas pembangunan rumah-rumah ibadah itu mengaku sama sekali tidak dilibatkan dalam proses pengawasan.
Demikian juga Bupati Poso Piet Inkiriwang mengaku mendapat laporan setelah rumah ibadah itu selesai dikerjakan.
Secara umum, situasi Poso sudah kondusif dan cukup memungkinkan bagi Presiden Yudhoyono untuk datang ke daerah ini, katanya. [128]

Presiden Resmikan 3 Proyek Besar di Poso

[PALU] Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono pada 30 April dan 1 Mei akan berkunjung ke Poso dan Palu. Di Poso akan meresmikan dimulainya pembangunan tiga proyek besar, yakni pembangunan pondok pesantren modern di Tokorondo, Kecamatan Poso Pesisir serta panti asuhan dan sekolah dasar di Tentena, Kecamata Lore Utara, Kabupaten Poso.
Sedangkan di Palu, selain meninjau sejumlah proyek nasional, pemberdayaan masyarakat miskin, Presiden Yudhoyono juga akan meresmikan proyek pembangkit listrik tenaga uap (PLTU) Mpanau dan Jembatan Teluk Palu yang menelan investasi sekitar Rp 350 miliar serta membuka Simposium Pemuda Indonesia tentang Resolusi Konflik.
Untuk memantapkan rencana kunjungan tersebut, Menko Kesra Aburizal Bakrie, Senin (16/4) selama dua hari datang ke Palu dan Poso. Di kedua daerah ini, Aburizal mengadakan pertemuan dengan jajaran pemerintah, tokoh masyarakat, agama, dan pemuda di daerah ini.
Menurut Aburizal, salah satu persiapan yang menjadi pertimbangan adalah faktor keamanan. "Tapi, tadi saya sudah dapat jaminan dari Kapolda dan Kepala Staf Korem di sini bahwa situasi keamanan cukup kondusif untuk dikunjungi presiden," katanya seusai pertemuan tertutup dengan Gubernur Sulteng HB Paliudju, Ketua DPRD Murad Nasir, Kapolda Brigjen Pol Badrodin Haiti, Kasrem 132/Tadulako Letkol Inf Alfred serta sejumlah kepala daerah tingkat II di Sulteng, Senin siang, di Palu. Hari Selasa pagi, Abu Rizal melanjutkan pertemuan di Poso dan Tentena.
Pemerintah memberi perhatian khusus bagi upaya percepatan pembangunan Sulteng, termasuk Poso pascakonflik. Gubernur Paliudju telah diminta membuat rancangan program percepatan pem- bangunan Sulteng, dan bulan Juli sudah bisa dipresentasikan di hadapan Presiden Yudhoyono di Jakarta agar bisa direalisasikan secepatnya.
Salah satu proyek pemberdayaan masyarakat miskin yang akan ditinjau Presiden Yudhoyono dalam kunjungannya ke Palu, yakni mesin sepeda motor yang berhasil diciptakan dengan menggunakan bahan bakar campuran air dan bensin. [128]

Rev. Susianti a mistaken target in Poso church shooting

Dressed in black trousers and jackets, two men stepped off their motorcycles and walked casually toward Efatha church in the South Palu district of Central Sulawesi, one of them carrying an M-16 rifle.
At the entrance to the church, one of the men, Basri alias Bagong, shot the reverend who was giving a sermon twice. Rev. Susianti Tinulele fell to the floor bleeding.
The other man, Anang Muhtadin alias Papa Enal, watched from outside the church, carrying an SS-1 rifle.
After killing Susianti, Basri and Papa Enal left the church and returned to their motorcycles where Iwan Irano and Ardin were waiting to drive them to Karanjalemba street one kilometer away where Haris was waiting.
Basri and Papa Enal gave their rifles to Haris and Abdul Muis who took the motorcycles and the rifles back to their headquarters in the BTN Palupi housing complex in South Palu.
Basri and Iwan Irano returned to Poso using the Alugoro travel service, while Papa Enal and Ardin returned to Poso with New Armada travel.
The chain of events at the church were presented Saturday during a case reconstruction of Susianti's murder, which took place on July 18, 2004.
Based on suspects' testimonies, the men's original target was not Susianti, but Rev. Irianto Kongkoli, who at the time was conducting a service for displaced people in Poso at another church and had been replaced by Susianti.
"After questioning suspects, we learned that the real target of the shooting was Rev. Irianto Kongkoli," Central Sulawesi Police chief Brig. Gen. Badrodin Haiti told The Jakarta Post at the site of the case reconstruction on Saturday.
Rev. Irianto Kongkoli, the secretary general of the South Sulawesi Christian Church, was shot dead in October last year while shopping with his wife in Palu.
His murder was condemned by both Christians and Muslims. Irianto was known for his close relationships with Muslim leaders in Palu and was involved in promoting a peaceful resolution to the conflict, while often staunchly criticizing the poor performance of security forces in the province.
Badrodin said that before shooting Rev. Susianti, the suspects were called to a housing complex in Poso where they were assigned by Haris to shoot a reverend in Efatha church.
After receiving their instructions, the suspects then surveyed the location and the route they would take before and after the shooting.
Previously, Ardin told the Post that after the shooting he took the motorcycles back to Karanjalemba and then returned to the site of the shooting.
"We were at the location of the shooting when the police arrived and were placed in the police line. Only the police did not recognize us because we mingled with the crowd," Ardin said.
He said that after confirming their target was dead, they went back to Poso on public transport.
The vehicles they were traveling in were stopped and searched outside the Central Sulawesi Police office in the Mamboro subdistrict in North Palu.
"We stepped out of the vehicle but again were not recognized by police and could escape again," Ardin said.

Bomb explodes in restive Poso, no casualties

A low-intensity bomb exploded Saturday evening in the Central Sulawesi city of Poso, which has been wracked by violence between Christians and Muslims, but no injuries were reported.
The bomb exploded at a house belonging to a man identified as Yohanes, in Kasiguncu village, Poso Pesisir district. Yohanes was not at home at the time of the explosion.
Poso Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Adheni Muhan told The Jakarta Post that he and his officers arrived on the scene shortly after the explosion.
Adheni did not give details of the explosion, only saying officers had recovered several pieces of plastic pipe and nails that may have come from the bomb. He added the explosion left a four-centimeter deep hole in the yard of the house.
"I am not able to give any details on the motive of the explosion. We're still investigating the case," Adheni said.
Residents also refused to speculate on who may have been behind the bomb and why.
Samaila, one of the residents, said the explosion was very loud. When asked who he thought was responsible, he offered no opinion. "I don't know who they are. Let the police investigate it."
Poso was the site of violence between Christians and Muslims between 1998 and 2001 that left thousands dead. A peace deal was signed in 2001, but it has failed totally to stop the violence.
The area has been especially tense since the executions of three Christian militants in September for their roles in the massacre of Muslims at a boarding school in 2000.
Meanwhile, several Muslim men detained by police for involvement in a series of violent attacks on Christians, apologized to their victims and victims' families on Friday.
The suspects have been identified as Basri alias Bagong, Wiwin Kalahe, Tugiran, Yudi Parsan and Ardin. They have reportedly admitted to involvement in a series of attacks, including the deadly bombing at Tentena market and the killing of three Christian students in Poso.
"We apologize for what we've done. Because of our acts, you -- my brothers and sisters -- are now suffering," said Basri, shaking the hands of Ivon Nathalia and Yuli, who survived an attack allegedly by Wiwin and Ardin on Nov. 8, 2005.
Ivon and Yuli cried as they shook hands with Basri and the other men. Ivon said she forgave them, and issued a plea for peace. "I ask for an end to violence in Poso."
The family of Nela Salianggo, who died in a bombing in Kawua village in South Poso Kota, also forgave the men.
Central Sulawesi Police chief Brig. Gen. Badrodin Haiti said the suspects would still be tried in criminal court for their actions.

Basri shoots Christian priest, reconstruction shows

PALU, Central Sulawesi (Antara): Basri, a terror suspect detained by the police, is allegedly the shooter of Priest Susianti Tinulele in Central Sulawesi capital of Palu in 2004. It was showed in the reconstruction of the incident on Saturday.
The reconstruction showed that Basri shot the priest at Effantha Church on Jl. Banteng, Tatura Selatan subdistrict, Palu Selatan district on July 18, 2004 after members of the group carried out a survey at the church.
Five suspects -- Basri, Haris, Irwanto Irano, Ardin and Papa Enal -- were involved in the reconstruction.
During the incident, Irwanto ride motorcycle, while Basri, who took M16 gun was on the backseat. Basri and Papa Enal entered church gate. Basri then entered the church and shot Priest Susianti, who delivered his sermon.
The religious conflicts in Poso reportedly killed some 1,000 people from both Muslims and Christians. Police recently arrested a number of rioters in a fatal shooting in the town. The suspects were charged with anti-terror law. (**) -->
