Poso suspect surrenders

PALU, Central Sulawesi: A terror suspect allegedly involved in the 2004 shooting of a prosecutor assigned to a terror case in surrendered to police in Poso on Monday.
Haikal alias Bandang, 28, was previously arrested for shooting the prosecutor, but released due to lack of evidence.
A source at the police station confirmed Haikal surrendered but no further details were disclosed.
Central Sulawesi Police spokesman Adj. Sr. Comr. Heddy told The Jakarta Post on Monday he had not yet received a report on the matter.
Haikal was allegedly involved in the shooting of Ferry Silalahi on June 27, 2004.
Ferry was a prosecutor at Central Sulawesi High Court assigned to a terror case in Poso.
The case involved five suspects on trial for possession of illegal firearms and explosives as well as for hiding Bali bombing suspect Achmad Roichan -- alias Nung.
Haikal was allegedly involved in other incidents, including the shooting of Rev. Susianti Tinulele as well as shootings at Anugerah and Immanuel Churches in 2005.
