Two in Poso surrender
Two men on a wanted list of suspects in the violence in Poso, Central Sulawesi, turned themselves in at the headquarters of the Special Forces in Cijantung, Jakarta, detik.com reported late Friday. "Now they have been transferred to the local police station," said National Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Bambang Kuncoko. The men, identified as Agus Jenggot and Riza alias Icang, said they had not surrendered to the police "for fear of being tortured." Police are still pursuing 12 other suspects, he added. Agus is suspected of being involved in the beheading of three students in October 2005. -- JP
